We collect information you provide directly, including account registration details (name, email, practice information), health data you upload (lab results, biomarker data, health history), wearable device data you choose to sync, and communications you send us.
We automatically collect usage data including device information, IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and interaction patterns to improve our Services.
We use your information to provide and improve our Services, including generating AI-powered health insights, maintaining your health dashboard, sending retest reminders and notifications, and providing customer support.
We never sell your personal health information. Period. Your health data is used solely to provide our Services to you and your physician.
Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations. We execute Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) with all physician practices. PHI is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Access is limited to authorized personnel on a minimum necessary basis.
We share data only with your authorized physicians and healthcare providers, lab partners (Quest, LabCorp, BioReference) as needed to fulfill testing orders, service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict data processing agreements), and as required by law.
For employer plans, only aggregated, de-identified data is shared. Individual health results are never disclosed to employers.
We retain your health data for as long as your account is active. Upon account termination, you may request a data export within 30 days. After 30 days, data is deleted in accordance with our retention policies and applicable regulations.
You have the right to access your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, export your data in a portable format, and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@healthmarkers.ai.

HealthMarkers.ai’s membership includes technology and service fees charged by HealthMarkers.ai, as well as access to prepaid laboratory services provided by independent third parties, and paid to such third parties on your behalf. Laboratory services are provided through leading nationwide partners including Quest Diagnostics, LabCorp, and BioReference Labs at 2,000+ locations. These laboratory service providers are independent third parties that set their own pricing. Certain states may have different rules around lab test billing and administration, which may result in additional fees at the time of laboratory visits. Itemization of all fees is available upon request. Certain add-on tests and services require additional payment not included in standard membership or practice subscription pricing.

Although HealthMarkers.ai may facilitate access to certain laboratory and medical service providers on your behalf, HealthMarkers.ai does not recommend or refer you to any healthcare providers, and you are free to choose any healthcare provider and to continue using HealthMarkers.ai’s services. All AI-generated insights and lifestyle recommendations are produced as drafts for physician review — no content is visible to patients until a licensed physician has reviewed and approved it.
